GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Under direct supervision of school-based administrators, persons serving as a Subsitute Teacher will perform instructional and classroom management activities when a teacher is out of school. The person will also be responsible for taking attendance and collecting classwork each period. The person may be assigned other duties as determined by administration.

Performs related work as required.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
The applicant should have as a minimum an Associates Degree or 60 semester hours of secondary education.

Interpersonal Communication:
Requires the ability to speak and/or signal people to convey or exchange information. Includes receiving instructions, assignments, and/or directions from superiors.
Verbal Aptitude:
Requires the ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently in Standard English.
Interpersonal Temperament:
Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with persons acting under stress.
Physical Communication:
Requires the ability to talk and hear : (Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words. Hearing: perceiving nature of sounds by ear). Must be able to communicate via telephone.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
General knowledge of how schools operate and some knowledge of working with children in an instructional setting.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.
